This policy explains what information Parkman Cattle Company ("we", "us") collects through the Parkman Cattle website at https://parkmanscattle.com, how we use it, and how to ask us to remove it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
1. What we collect
Form submissions. When you submit the contact form, the sell form or the Inquire now form on a listing, what you entered is sent to our form delivery service, which emails it to us at sales@parkmanscattle.com and keeps a copy for up to 90 days so a delivery problem does not lose your message. We receive whatever you choose to send: typically your name, email address, phone number, location and the details of the cattle or question. We keep those emails so we can respond, build your listing and follow up on it. The WhatsApp buttons work differently: they open WhatsApp with the message filled in and it is sent from your own WhatsApp account to our number.
Auction bids. When you place a bid on an auction page, your name, phone number and bid amount are emailed to our sale office through the same form delivery service so we can call you to confirm, and they are also stored in your own browser on your device so the page can remember them for you. A bid is not binding until we confirm it with you by phone. Once confirmed, we keep your name, phone number and bid amount for the purpose of completing the sale.
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information about requests, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the Site running.
2. Seller contact details on listings
Listings on this Site show the seller's name, city, state and phone number. Sellers give us that information for the express purpose of having it published so buyers can call them, and consent to its publication when they submit a listing. If you are a seller and want your listing taken down or your contact details changed, email us and we will do it.
3. How we use information
- To answer your messages and build, publish and update listings you ask us to.
- To confirm auction bids, complete sales and put winning bidders in touch with sellers.
- To keep the Site secure and working.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Sharing
When you win an auction lot or ask us to list cattle, we share the information needed to complete the sale with the other party to it (the seller or the buyer). We use Cloudflare to host and serve the Site, which means request data passes through Cloudflare's systems under its own privacy terms. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
5. Cookies and analytics
We do not set tracking or advertising cookies and we do not run third-party analytics scripts. The Site uses your browser's local storage to remember things like auction bid details you have entered, which stays on your device. Our host, Cloudflare, may set cookies or collect aggregate traffic data as part of serving and protecting the Site.
6. Links to other sites
Listings and pages may link to other websites, such as breed associations or state animal health offices. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.
7. Removal requests and your choices
To have a listing removed, correct information on it, or ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, email sales@parkmanscattle.com and tell us which listing or message you mean. We will act on the request as soon as we reasonably can. To clear bid details stored in your browser, clear the site data for https://parkmanscattle.com in your browser settings.
8. Changes
