How It Works
Live cattle transportation is arranged between buyer and seller. Many sellers offer delivery services for an additional fee, or you can arrange your own hauler.
Delivery Options
- Seller Delivery: Many ranchers deliver within a certain radius for a fee
- Buyer Pickup: Arrange to pick up cattle directly from the ranch
- Third-Party Hauler: Hire a licensed livestock transporter
Requirements
- Valid health certificates (brand inspection may be required)
- Interstate transport may require veterinary inspection
- Haulers must be licensed and insured
Transport costs vary by distance and number of head. Discuss delivery options with the seller before finalizing your purchase.

How It Works
Your beef is vacuum-sealed, flash-frozen, and shipped in insulated coolers packed with dry ice. We use refrigerated freight for full shipments and overnight shipping for smaller orders.
Delivery Timeline
- Processing: 3-5 days after slaughter
- Dry Aging: 21 days for optimal flavor
- Cutting & Packing: 3-5 days
- Shipping: 1-3 days depending on location
Shipping Coverage
We deliver to all 48 continental US states. Shipping is included in most Butcher Box orders.
Cold Chain Guaranteed: Your beef stays frozen throughout transit. If anything arrives thawed, we'll replace it free.

15-25 lbs of dry ice per shipment ensures your beef stays at -109°F during transit.

Receiving Your Butcher Box
When Your Box Arrives
- • Inspect the packaging for damage
- • Check that meat is still frozen solid
- • Transfer immediately to your freezer
- • Keep cuts in vacuum packaging until ready to use
- • Frozen beef stays fresh for 12+ months
